I didn’t get to post Wednesday because I had this Six Flags trip that went on until about 6, and by then I was dead tired. Sorry about that… I should have posted Friday or something, but I figured a few days couldn’t hurt that much (could it?) Anyway, because of all this, I didn’t get any simming in since last week. I’ve decided that instead of following  a strict Sunday Wednesday schedule, I’ll just post whenever is a good time. Don’t worry, I’ll get at least one post in each week! But those posts will still probably follow a pattern that revolves around a Sunday Wednesday schedule, because I have the most free time on those days, not including the simming that gets done beforehand.

When I last left off, I was sane. My family was going smoothly, and everyone was sane, like me. Now, however, I find myself involuntarily screaming at the computer screen whenever a sim does something I don’t want him/her to do. I often have my family screaming back at me to shut the heck up. But, it’s worth it… It’s fun, and I can use it as an excuse not to go out. For example:

MOM: Hey, Jess, want to go on a walk?

ME: Can’t, Mom, getting pics for my next blog post.

MOM: Are you sure? It’s drizzling, very nice weather.

ME: Positively sure, mom.

MOM: Are you sure?

ME: Yes, mom. Definitely sure.

MOM: Sure you’re sure?

ME: Yes, I am sure with the entirety of my being.

MOM: …

And that’s how it usually goes. See, my mom is practically jumping in glee whenever she sees me because of my blog, so she can’t really argue. It gets useful. Anyway, back to whatever I was saying… We left off at a peaceful point in time. However, during the four days that I had to play and get pics, Deirdre had another baby (why me?!), Guin and Dez grew up into teens (noes), and I slowly dropped from sane to mentally unsafe. With all the simming I’ve been doing (We have a five day break from school, yay Memorial Day!), I wouldn’t be surprised if my parents would want to take me to the “Funny Farm.” >_<

So Dez and Guin received A+’s soon enough:

And not to long after, Deirdre and Tucker had their third kid, Leander:

He really resembles his sisters,which means he resembles his mom and a mix of his dad’s face. After four days of utter hell, he grew up at the same time the twins did. He became a toddler, while they became teens.

I don’t know why, but his eyes are almost always closed! Here are pics of Dez and Guin as teens:

As you can see, immediate changes in wardrobe were required. I sent both of them to “Cold Issue Clothing” (lol get it? hot topic? cold issue? lol? lol?)

Things were much easier for me afterward. The twins got accepted into private school, and I got cars for Tuck and Deirdre. Leander grew into a toddler, having learned to walk, talk, and use the potty, and Deirdre got pregnant. Again. Leander soon got accepted into private school, and I got a birdy, yay. And that’s basically all that happened. Here’s a pic of Rainbow, the parrot:

Is it just me, or does Maxis make the parrot’s flight look comepletly fake? During all this I took pointless pictures out of boredom. Here are a few:

During the pregnancy with Leander, Deirdre’s needs dropped quicker than ever. That picture is a perfect example of something that pushed me closer to insanity. This following screenshot is Deirdre’s new uniform for school. It cracks me up:

Another weird coincidence was that the family, before Leander, that is, tended to do the same things at the same time:

Yes, that’s my version of Mortal Kombat. Eventually, Deirdre got horribly unfit, so I had her use the TV to work out. However, the TV was broken, and it was being stubborn. So, I had her fix it. It took over 7 sim hours, because she’s pathetic when it comes to mechanics, and afterwards, she was fit again, so the whole point of fixing the TV was rendered useless, or at least until someone wanted to watch football.

And I couldn’t help taking this picture. Sim births are hilarious:

Another little quirk was that as children, whenever Dez or Guin cooked something using the kid’s oven, it burnt. Every single time, it burnt.

At least I didn’t have to go wake up Deirdre or Tucker whenever the kids were hungry.

At one point, some creepy stalker dude stole the gnome in my front yard. I was about to have Tucker go steal it back, but Guin already had the action on her “To Do” list. So I figured, why not? And then I fell out of my chair looking at her expression:

And more about Leander–Tucker was actually a really big help when it came to taking care of Leander. Tucker seemed to care more about his family than he did before Leander came along. Male bonding, I guess?

And this last screen is… weird…. I recently downloaded a new camera mod. I forgot the name, but it’s so much better than the regular camera! And with it, I zoomed all the way out on the neighborhood view, and something peculiar caught my eye. Has anyone else seen something like this?

I checked the decorations panel, and it wasn’t there anywhere. I don’t know if this was downloaded with something else I downloaded, or if it was there from the beginning, but it intrigued me. If anyone has any idea what this is, please click Mr. Comment Button. And while we’re talking about comments, the time is coming for the next heir to be chosen. There’s Leander, Guin, and Dez. If anyone would like to vote, feel free to vouch, but I doubt anyone would bother. That’s all for now!

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind children (that much). They just get on my nerves a little. Especially when they’re Sims 2 kids that are hardwired to complain nearly 24/7. At least Dezzy and Guin were angels (cough cough) as toddlers. Look at the happy faces full of happy happiness:

Notice the cool drop shadow I added. Yay. Anyway, I finally got through the joy of toddlers, and soon, it was time for Guin and Dezzy to grow into children. Here’s Guin, who’s probably going to end up being my heir:

Taking care of these younguns (love that word) took a lot of effort (they grew up on a Saturday, so I had to keep them at home for two days…), and soon, a maid was needed. However, Remington was back in action–what a coincidence that Deirdre received the same maid she had in college! I don’t know about you, but I have certain theories about males who drive cars like this:

Anyway, both Tucker and Deirdre got promotions. I would get about 15,000 simoleons if I sold everything, so I figured it was time for a makeover! I forgot to take pictures, but now the Baron house is a whopping 4 room house, not including the bathrooms and the room put aside for the Elixir of Life collections thingy from the challenge. I’m going to have to improvise a nursery, and stick the cradle, highchair, and toddler toilet thingy spread about the house. I’m sure I have a few extra nooks and crannies.

And now a little about Guin and Dez– they love each other like best friends, even though Dez tends to fade into the background.

Dez likes to occupy herself with activities where she doesn’t have to interact with anyone. For example, she has this weird infatuation with her dollhouse and SSX3:

Not to mention, on the first day of school, her volcano won her 250 bucks at the science fair!

Guin, on the other hand, is a lot more social. She’s more of a tomboy, and she loves to cook.

And then the favrite part of any kid’s life: the first day of school! Why do the sim kids all come home with that look on their face? They know that their grade is going to be a C+ on their first day:

• Currently (re)reading: Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. Yes, all three all over again. That’s how awesome they are.

I’ve been itching to post this, as Deirdre’s finally out of college! However, I told myself to wait, because if I posted it yesterday, it would throw the whole schedule plan off balance. So here it is. Basically, Deirdre graduated and she wanted to throw a party, but I was just, NO. Because the last time I threw a party, it sucked. So I just had her move back to Pleasantview, and she moved into the empty 5 x 5 lot she had to move into. She was left with 4,800 (Where are my college savings?!) and she got a new outfit and more importantly, a new LTW. Her new LTW is to graduate 3 children from college. I was about to scream, because Sims 2 college drags by so slowly! Oh well.

But let’s bounce back to her final days of college. I worked my arse off trying to get through it without screaming out of boredom. Firstly, it was getting harder and harder to get her social up–nobody seemed to want to talk to her. Eventually, she had to resign to talking to the old geezer lunch lady.

She also got around to beating up that Dominique guy. Lots of knuckle cracking and fist fighting.

She lost in the end, but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right? Also, some jerk knocked over the trash can outside, and I never got around to cleaning it up. Eventually, Mr. Exterminator had to come. I just love that truck of his…

And the poor wittle bug on top, holding that flower… sigh.

Other services, such as the maid (who turned out to be a guy… rofl) were also called for. The coughcough maid that came had some chemistry with Deirdre, so I considered him as future husband. I don’t have a picture, though, because the idea was soon dropped.

Another talent she was slowly building was meditation. She can float now! Isn’t that great?

And she was meditating on the kitchen floor, too. Lol. Anywho, she was soon sent off to her final (and this tiem, it was fianl) exams, and she came back with an A+. Yay. I moved her out, and she moved into the lot, as stated in the beginning. I built up a shack with items I had left over from college and the money I had now. This is how it turned out:

There’s a toilet next to the shower, it’s just out of view. I had her call over Tucker, an old college friend who she seemed to like a lot. After a day of relation building, they were set to go!

I changed Tucker’s appearance to something Deirdre would find a bit more charismatic:

They lived for a few days, until I could afford a baby. And voila, the stork came and dropped off not one baby, but twins! I was freaking out. This simmer + babies = not good. I was bad enough with taking care of one baby, why would someone give me two?! Anyway, they look exactly the same, and I named them Desdemona and Guinevere. They’re cute!

They have their mother’s skintone, eyes, and face, but their father’s eyebrows and nose. They’re both so cute! They soon grew to toddlers, and I could escape the hell of infants. Dezzy grew up to have her mother’s hair, but Guin had a weird bowl cut thing going on. But at least I could tell them apart.

Guin is in a coat because I had to get a second bath tub, but had no room for it, so I stuck it outside.

So that’s as far as I got… only a few days until these toddlers grow up! I think I’m going to download a bunk bed, or something that can keep two beds in one place, for money’s sake. Next update is Wednesday!

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I need to put in another schedule change. I haven’t gotten any updates in, with karate, school, and the end of the school year slowly coming up. I really wish I had time, but it seems I need to adjust my schedule so that posts will be posted on Wednesdays and Sundays. I might change those days later, though, I haven’t really gone over all the ups and downs of the time. So I can’t update today, really sorry about that–but I’ll definitely have an update on Sunday! Sorry this post was so short, but I need to take care of that big pile of homework–see you all later!

Life’s been going well. Not too much homework, and there’s this book I really love called Twilight, I’m waiting to get the sequel. But enough about me–let’s focus on Deirdre. I was so tired last night, nearly fell asleep while playing, but I was kinda like Deirdre when she starts dancing. Her energy will get really low, and I’ll have to actually command her to go to bed. But aside form that, she’s doing well. She finally graduated from her Junior Year (yay) and is now on her final year, but let’s go back a little and overlook her junior year, because I spent a long time just trying to get through it.

It started out fine, however when the second semester began, things started getting hazardous. She fell in love with this crazy blue haired guy called Neil, and she wants to engage him, but I want to wait until after college for things like that.

However, this other guy named Dominique (yes, I know. Yes, it’s a guy. I didn’t generate the townie’s names, I only play my sim.)
started picking on her and making her cry (poor thing), so I came right back at the little twirp. A few slaps and pokes (and maybe a few joy buzzers) and he was off crying too. Here’s a picture of Dominique, because I was considering him as a fiance in the beginning–he has slight chemistry with her.

While I was worrying about that, Deirdre was having trouble keeping her grades up. I had her influence this person called Regina (who kept on following me around, trying to admire Deirdre) to right Deirdre’s term paper while keeping Deirdre’s needs up. Aside from that, Deirdre also took a huge interest in cooking and piano playing, so building the skills she required was difficult because I had to keep canceling the actions she had to play piano (which I now regret buying) and to cook (which was plain annoying.)

Just looking at that chili sends shivers down my spine. And is it just me, or does she look like she’s cutting off her finger? Anyway, I did get some free time in, and she was able to start practicing her logic and her charisma, which are the two main skills needed.

Meanwhile, I was getting pretty obsessed with her cleaning up after herself. Whenever I told her to clean something, she gave me this look.

And finally, for those of you who watch or read Death Note, she’s becoming obsessed with her handheld (main source of fun now) and it just reminded me of Matt.

So that’s it for today. As you can see, her second Junior semester was a living hell. I’m not so sure if I want to play her last two semesters! But don’t worry, I’ll have them down and then hopefully, I can start blogging about the hard part–beginning the Legacy Challenge as an Adult. I can barely wait! See all of you next time,

In order to help prevent a problem like the crash again, I’ve decided to use my sister’s old computer for the Sims 2. My computer used to be a Windows Vista, and her old computer is an XP, so I’m kind of let down that I’m forced to do this, but if it means that my families won’t go kaboom again, I’m willing to do it. So managing Sims Mastery and playing Sims will all be registered on this CPU.

On a happier note, I got all the games and expansion packs I had installed, and downloaded a few things, as well. The game runs fine, only a tad bit slower, so I started the Legacy Challenge Version 2! It starts with Deidre Baron, a young adult sim who is eager to get out of college and begin her new life. She’s a family sim with a LTW to reach the top of the Education career. She’s a slob and hates cleaning, and she puts on this face whenever I make her clean something. It almost makes me want to cancel the action. >_< She loves to dance, and she also loves to cook. So she has some qualities that Deedee did, but she’s not exactly the same.

Her freshman year passed so slowly! For me, at least. During both semesters, she got a spot on Dean’s List, by doing nothing but earning skill points, going to class, talking and trying to befriend professors, and a few assignments here and there.

But other than being a good student, she loved to dance. As in, whenever she had free time, she would crank up that stereo and dance the night away. She was really bad at it at first, but because of the excessive amount of time she spent dancing, she became slightly decent.

Oh yeah, and whatever other time wasn’t spent dancing, she was listening to her MP3.

After the first semester or so, things began to grow hot. Three guys all had their attentions on her, and I only got a picture of one, because, well, I forgot to. >_< Here she is dancing with Destry McWhatsisname:

I promise next time, though, I’ll have a picture of Neil and that other guy whose name is unimportant. And now we’re finally making some progress! Welcome to her first Sophomore semester. Since I’m tired of her dancing, I canceled out the action and got her to play some mindless video game called A-Maze-Ing Matey. Such a clever name.

Since her major is Psychology, she has to work on her Creativity skill points. Here’s a pointless picture of her painting.

Very bad news. My computer broke down… again. Since this was the second time, instead of fixing it, I just ordered a new one. I’m using my laptop right now… Since I lost all my data again, I planned out another family for the Legacy Challenge. Unfortunately, no more Keirans (tired of trying to remember exactly how they were…), sorry about that… And Aphrodite was destroyed, too, along with several of my other unmentioned families. I’ve planned out a new Legacy Challenge Founder, whose name will be Deidre Baron. She’s also going to be in college. Once I get all the Sims 2 games and expansion packs (and hopefully some of my downloads), I’ll get it started, and I’ll show you a few pictures. I’ll need to wait until I go out to get my new CPU. Until then, we’ll all have to wait… I’ll probably have everything set up by tomorrow, if I’m lucky. My dad’s a computer guy, and he’ll be able to help a lot.

There’s been a schedule change. I run on a tight schedule, so to make sure that I get some sims in and you can read about it, updates will be hosted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I might get some in between, but the definite postings will be on those specified days. Todays Wednesday, so you’re all lucky! I’ll be writing about Deedee. Also, this change will also allow me to play longer games, so my posts will be longer, by a bit. Well, maybe more than a bit.

This is an edit: You all know Mother’s Day is coming up, and I have this project I need to work on, so I can’t post tonight– but I will on Friday! I promise!

You’ve been waiting for it, haven’t you? It’s here… The first update on the Keiran family! I’m still looking for a good blog pic, but it will come soon. To start this out, let’s begin with how unsociable Aleksa is. Everyone she meets she doesn’t even like! Except for Brian, she gets along perfectly with him.

Then again, that makes sense. She likes to stay by herself and study, or stare out her telescope. I got her to ask out this one guy on a date, and directly afterward, after all my hard work, she pranked him. I didn’t get a picture, unfortunately… But I did get a picture of her studying.

Anyway, aside from Aleksa, Brian is the perfect sim child. He’s a neat freak, and every little thing has to be perfect. He loves baking on his little children’s oven, too, so I don’t have to get Aleksa to feed him, and I don’t have to have him clean up after himself. And, like his mother, he’s very studious. I think the two are very similar.

He also, for some reason, enjoys going to school. He’ll occasionally have the want to go to school.

Not to mention, I think he’s really weird compared to other kids. Look at the poor boat!
